Every human in this world have a unique posture which defines him as someone special. Although it is a common aspect of everybody, we know very little about our own posture. Usually, people suffers the posture and thinks that the posture is the way of be seated or the way of walk, these are the postural habits or consequences and not the posture.
Now, let me define for you what is posture:
Posture is the result of adds the position in space of the different structures that make up the human body and the global mechanical relationships between them. Mechanical relationships are constituted through the balance between different muscle chains and fascia.
The posture never should be considered as good or bad, it should be considered as situation which gives or not give problems. It means that often we believe there is a good or bad posture only in relation to the social idea of the posture (typical and common idea that walking stiff means to walk upright, and in deed a stiff body means pain and fatigue). Something for that we should be concerned is if our posture creates dysfunction and pain, or if it makes difficult our relationships with other people.
An optimized posture is the posture that it does not cause dysfunctions or pain. It can be considered beautiful and healthy while allowing natural, elegant and harmonious movement.
