Foot dysfunctions and diseases with Moxibustion

The foot is the most basic structure of body load and also for the addressed movement. Its structure is complex and it consists in different bones groups, a system of ligaments for stability, tendons and fasciae for propulsion. Due to the large number of structures involved in the foot it is easy for the system to be destabilized. Some parts will express it with great pain. Knowing the architecture of the foot allows us to understand the functioning of all structures found above.

The consequences of injuries or local dysfunction in the feet, can easily have an impact on the globality of the body. Changes in support systems will provoke changes in posture structures and on the body movement.

Many of the alterations of the foot can be treated with moxibustion in its various forms. Inflammations (arthritis, tendonitis, fascitis), overload and traumatic injuries (sprains, cracks or fractures) are common, so a tool like moxibustion can answer it.

The foot, as a limb, allows us an easy access to the energy meridian system and therefore soft stimuli will have powerful effects on the global system.

In the lecture:

UNDERVISER
Felip R. Piñana Caudet was born in Tarragona (Spain) (1976). From childhood he was interested in the therapeutic possibilities of everything around him and was attracted by all that nature gave to heal. He trained in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and Naturopathy in CENAC (Barcelona) (1999). Later, he studied Physiotherapy at the Ramon Llull University (2000) and he got graduate programs of specialization (cardio-respiratory physiotherapy and postural Mézières Method). After sailing for many years in clinical practice and teaching in the middle, he had the fortune to meet Japanese techniques. Later, Tetsuya Fukushima (Japan), teacher of teachers, introduced him to the secrets of direct moxibustion. In continuous contact with him and other Japanese masters like Hideo Shinma (son of Isaburo Fukaya), he has continued the fascinating and deep journey of japanese moxibustion. Now is member of the Tokyo Kyu-ho Study Group and Director of Okyu Gakko Barcelona (first Japanese moxibustion school out of Japan)
